What I love about this home:

I love everything about this house it has been a fantastic family home for entertaining and we have had some great parties here, just recently my son’s engagement party with 100 guests.  The space flows well from inside to out and consequently the outdoor area gets used almost nightly in summer for barbeques. It’s an easy house to live in due to the layout and I love the polished boards and the winter sun that floods the family room.  I also love the bay window at the front and the wonderful cosy feel this house has, everyone who visits comments on the nice ambience.  It’s a great house to live in and I will be very sad to leave it.

What I love about this suburb:

I have lived in the Rosanna/Viewbank area for 29 years and it has everything you need within easy access. The area is well serviced by public transport making a large number of public and private schools easily accessible.  I enjoy catching the train into the city as it is quick and efficient and my children and their friends often go to the MCG on the train on the weekends.  The Austin Hospital is up the road for all those childhood emergencies and I have confidently been there many times with my 4 children.   My children are still really good friends with their classmates from primary school and have spent many happy times riding bikes along the bike tracks and safely walking to each other’s houses. Plenty of great parks for picnics and sporting activities and I have always felt very safe walking the many walking paths.   I have had excellent neighbours at both my houses. There are many good shopping centres close by and I find its close proximity to the Eastern Freeway, Brunswick Street, Richmond and Collingwood for eating out very convenient.  I also love going to the Preston market as its very European and old fashioned and has great shops.  There are plenty of great places for breakfast in Heidelberg, Eltham, Warrandyte and Fairfield.  Great sporting facilities, plenty of gyms and pools, in fact I really believe Viewbank is still a bit of an undiscovered gem.  It’s a great suburb to raise a family and I just love living in a court it feels very safe and friendly.

Why I am selling:

I have raised 4 children in Viewbank/Rosanna and only have 1 left living at home.  My son and his American fiancée have just left to marry and live in the USA after living here for the past year.  The house is too empty now and its time to move on with the next stage of my life.  Very sadly its time to downsize!
