The Bell Street Studio

I can’t believe that after 25 years here at 253 Bell Street Coburg that I am selling and moving on.  It is with mixed emotions that I let this amazing property go; So many good times here.

From my days practicing trumpet while studying at the Victorian College of the Arts—the sum of zero complaints from the neighbours being a testament to the great sound proofing of the premises—to life as an internationally touring professional performer and educator, this home has served me as well as any place possibly could.

From the minute you easily drive in to the backyard and click that button to lower the roller door, you will feel, like I do every day, a sense of relief and separation from the outside world.  Occasionally, if you are lucky when you arrive home, the sprinklers will be on watering the abundant lawn.

I have really enjoyed the process of lovingly improving this property over many years, turning it in to the warm and funky pad it is now.

My favourite attributes are the spacious, modern kitchen; the open-plan living areas opening onto the spacious decks; and the view from the frameless shower and spa, out through the bathroom window.  For the best experience, be sure to open those windows on a hot day for that added feeling of luxury.

One of my funniest memories is watching from the kitchen, my young nephews trying to play cricket in the back yard whilst being chased by my old German Shepherd dog Jimmy; much to the distress of my sister.  I am fairly sure I did most of the cooking that day!

It has been very exciting watching Coburg develop over the years and becoming the trendy, sought-after place it is today. We have some great pubs, amazing restaurants and of course, top line cafés.

Being a musician I often work in the city, so instead of paying the exorbitant price of parking, a quick stroll to either the Melville Road tram or the Upfield Train provides some stress-free travel time and even offers you the chance to listen to your favourite tunes.

I am excited my career is presenting enticing opportunities elsewhere.  It is with pride that I offer you this fantastic home. I know will love it just as much as I have.
