Owners Notes
What we love about this home:
From the moment we first viewed the house we loved it; warm energy and light filled despite being a period home. We moved in during August 2005 and have spent this time renovating, making structurally sound and landscaping the gardens.
We love the secure and private back garden with a number of zones. The garage, garden shed and wood shed was a bonus.
There is loads of storage inside and out and the bedrooms are actually double bedrooms, all three of them.
The open fire in the lounge is so relaxing, and having a wood shed is perfect.
In the last two years there has been an injection of cafes, bars and restaurants in and around the area. We can walk to so many of these places and often don’t use the car on weekends.
What we love about this suburb:
There is so much to love about Preston: our neighbours who we catch up with socially 4 – 5 times a year (5 houses); the sense of community (numerous market traders have become friends and we enjoy catching up with them every week when we walk to the market); ample public transport (Bell St & Preston stations plus tram #11 and tram #86) all walking distance from our home.
Why we are selling:
It has been such a hard decision to sell as we will really miss the home, location, our neighbors and the market, however the time has come to downsize our property. The reason is that one of us now travels nationally for work regularly and a smaller property will make things easier for our family.
Any other information:
To the family who purchase our home – you will love it!
