What we love about this home:
There are two opinions about this. One of us most loves the long garden, with its bird-attracting trees, dense plantings and veggie patch. Architecturally, she loves the home’s blend of neat Victorian trimmings and modern design. The other person most loves our solar panels, solar hot water and passive design, and the fact that we pay a pittance on bills!
Our kids love that this is home. We believe your family will feel the same way about it.
What we love about this suburb:
We love our neighbourhood. Our wonderful mix of old and young, families, students and seniors. We love our park, the Edinburgh Gardens, the diverse local businesses, the schools, the kindy and the great local pubs. We love that we’re walking distance from Brunswick St and Smith St, and served by bike paths and two tram lines. We think this is the most vibrant and livable suburb in Melbourne.
Why we are selling:
We are selling because the two of us are now working from home. We need our own studies, and that means more rooms, and that means living further out. At the beginning of this year we hadn’t the slightest notion that this is what we’d be doing, but 2020 has been that kind of year…
Any other information:
This is an 1870's house. The steep old stairs take a little getting used to! But structurally, the house was built to last. We have not observed a single new crack in nearly 20 years. Treat it well, and it will shelter your family and generations of families to come.
