What we love about this home:

This house is so light and spacious. The large northern aspect runs the length of the property, which brings in heaps of natural light - especially given the property is surrounded by backyards on the north side. We have loved how practical it is for a family lifestyle - with multiple living areas, little nooks, heaps of storage and a giant garage! The garden is particularly special, with a large lawn, fruit trees (fig, quince, apple, lemon and strawberries, blueberry and raspberry bushes), a vege patch and plants that flower all year around. It is now nicely established and picnics in the backyard on a warm day have been a family tradition. The home is also very comfortable to live in, with multiple efficient heating and cooling options and new kitchen appliances.

What we love about this suburb:
The location in the southern end of Brunswick is perfect – the house is minutes walk from the pool, the library, numerous cafes, restaurants and small independent shops- both on Sydney Road, and on what is the most interesting section of Lygon St in the inner north. It is also close to Barkly Square and several grocery stores. It is easily accessible by public transport – the no 19 tram is very regular and there are also bus and train options.

Why we are selling:

After many happy years at Garden St, which included a significant transformation of the house and garden, we are moving to be closer to our kids’ new school.
