Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

97 Hodgkinson St is a unique, bright and sunny house sitting in a sort after position.
The view from the upstairs balcony across the elms of the Darling Gardens to the city is beautiful, especially at night. Sitting in the haven of the large rear garden listening to the birds under the shady dome of the imposing pomegranate and weeping mulberry trees is rare delight. And taking tea on the front verandah is a great way to meet your new neighbours.

This unique 100 year old house is solid. It was architecturally modified in 1994, and architecturally renovated in 2022.

  • The rear access takes you straight to the beautiful Darling Gardens.
  • “The best house in the best street in Clifton Hill”, said the local newsagent. We agree!
  • Garden views from every window. Subtle gold stained glass in front rooms and above front door.
  • Fine Australian Hardwood Floorboards
  • Charming inner courtyard.
  • Beautiful garden views.
  • Fabulous views of Southern skies, rolling clouds and sunsets from the picture windows of the splendid back room.
  • Everyone who has ever visited has always said “This is such a happy house!”
  • Mort Sahl happily ate sausages in the backyard. The late David Blanasi, Master of the Didjeridoo, played in the backyard, joined by the songs and clap sticks of his White Cockatoo Company. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Blanasi,
