What do you love about the home?

It's warm and welcoming. We have added colour and character by painting the walls. We have opened the living space up by removing the top bench that was attached to the island kitchen, and changed the sink, tap, benchtop and lighting to make the space more open and warm.

The house and the courtyard feel very private with high fences. We have removed part of the roof covering in the courtyard to provide extra light to the garden and the living space. We have done a lot of gardening, and it is one of our favourite parts of the home. It feels peaceful and private.

The main bedroom has great views of the trees and the park. It gets great natural light and is easy to heat and cool with the split system.

The garage was a main area that attracted us to the house. It doesn't feel like a garage, but an extra space in the home. It is insulated and we can comfortably work from there year round. We have used the space for painting, playing music, housing guests, storage, working from home and an extra sitting area/lounge.

What do you love about the area?

We love the park next door, and the side gate access we have to it. We are close to many buses, and the walk to Bell station is not too far. We are close to lots of shops and food options, and we're close to Northland and High St for shopping.

We love to walk to the Darebin Creek. There are nice cafes nearby that we walk to, and an Urban Winery and Moon Dog World are only a short walk away.
