Owners Notes

We love living in what was once a meeting place for the Royal Antediluvian Order of the Buffalos, and the sense of peace and tranquil escape we feel once inside.  The house opens up into a luxury of space, filled with warmth, light and angles.  It is our private and secure sanctuary in the heart of bustling Carlton.

Whilst spread over three levels, we spend most of our time in the middle level of the house – by the fire in the winter, on the deck in the summer.  It is great place for entertaining friends or just meeting for a drink before heading into Carlton or Brunswick Street for dinner.

We look forward to every season.  We enjoy sunshine through the giant north facing window all year around and lighting the first fire of winter is always a special moment.  With the light well in the centre, you can open the house up in the summer and feel the evening breeze flow right through the house.

We love the ease of driving into the garage and spinning around on the turntable – off street parking for two cars is a god send so close to the city.  We also love lying in bed and looking out at the city skyline, the number of good places within walking distance for coffee and the ten minute bike ride into the heart of the city.
