Owners Notes

What I like about this house:

On looking at it from the front it is a neat weatherboard with standard roses along the front picket fence & a lovely climbing rose “Pierre de Ronsard” over the front porch. The front garden is lovely with seasonal flowers & lots of foliage.

We particularly like the feel of the inside of the house as it has an open welcoming feel to it. The 3 bedrooms are all a good size as is the bathroom with its double vanity unit.

The open living, dining, kitchen area works well with light polished board floors & lots of natural light. We really like the Caesar stone bench tops in the kitchen & the walk in pantry. Double doors lead from the living area to a large covered deck which is like an extra living area.

There are 2 fans in the ceiling for the warmer weather & a water feature at the end of the deck. We spend a great deal of time out there, even in the winter on a sunny windless day, it’s lovely looking out onto the garden with the large oak tree in the far corner & a gazebo on the opposite side. The lawn & garden is very restful & peaceful & we get a lot of satisfaction from it. The gazebo is perfect for family functions and BBQs.

What I like about the area:

In choosing to live in Ivanhoe we wanted to be reasonably close to the city, 10km, but with room to breathe, also being serviced by train was a must.

We love the many trees in Ivanhoe & the great walking paths along the creeks & river.

the lovely traditional homes & civic buildings & the main shopping strip make it a very attractive centre to live. Also the aquatic & fitness centre is a bonus. Seddon Oval near here was a perfect ground for football, cricket and basketball for the grandchildren.

Why we are selling:

We have decided to downsize. Our grandchildren have moved on. But we will be staying in the Ivanhoe region as all the facilities we like and need are there.
