What do you love about this home?

I purchased the house seven years ago from the original owners.  First re-stumping, carpets ripped out and the original floors sanded and finished.  The paint on all window and door frames was stripped back to show the lovely timber.  The old laundry was gutted to make way for the walk-in robe and ensuite/laundry.  The family bathroom had a toilet added and the frame and flooring around the bath were replaced, beautiful tiling finished the room.

The front and back yard were plowed, new soil added and Sr Walter Buffalo grass laid. The cocoon of bamboo bordering the backyard is clumping so you don’t have to worry about it taking over the world.  The front and back garden has an irrigation system.

The alfresco area is great – I have hosted a few large sit downs with the double doors open.  It is also a calm peaceful place to sit and relax.

What we love about this suburb:

The proximity to the cycle paths of Darebin Creek is my favourite.  I often walk my dog there and on Sundays walk to the Bundoora market at Latrobe Uni, it is only 2.5km on the cycle path.  Of course, Northland is very convenient for food, shopping and entertainment.  If you want good Asian food you can’t beat High Street near the Preston Market.  Quite a few great bars have opened on Plenty Road near the Tyler St intersection; it is only a 10-minute walk from here.  If you need a great coffee, there is Cannoli’s on Wood Street, only 5 minutes away.

Why we are selling:

Both of my children have now settled in New South Wales so I am on my way to the Central Coast 🙂
