Carol & I moved from Auckland New Zealand in early 1996 following my transfer to Melbourne.
During the first 6 months we explored Melbourne and we found Kew and Studley Park. We came across 1 Eamon Court by chance. It had not been lived in for a couple of years, as the then owners had upscaled to Raheen. We have 4 children so we needed 4-5 bedrooms with space for studies. We found the location ideal for us due to its location close to Catholic schools, plenty of public transport and easy access to the CBD & Tullamarine airport. Whilst access to trams and trains is a 15 minute walk, the bus stop is just a minute away.
This property and its solid brick house, after some room alterations and rendering of the bricks to a cream colour, more than delivered to us the benefits we sought. We have loved the trees and vegetation and the views of the neighbourhood. The north facing aspect means the house is warm and bright in the winter.
Consequently, we have had a very enjoyable experience during our 24 years of occupation.......but it’s now time to downsize as our children have moved on.
