Important Update – Nelson Alexander's Community Safety Standard

As your feed will be filling up with communication from businesses across metropolitan Melbourne this afternoon, we will keep this short.

The announcement on August the 16th for a 2-week extension for metropolitan Melbourne highlights an important message of community standard to our customers.

We would like to reiterate that we are unable to visit your home. Put simply, it is illegal, and it puts our community at risk. The health and safety of you, your families, our staff and families, the community- everyone, is of the utmost importance.

However, here's what we can legally do for you:

  • Virtual Appraisals: We can join you via Zoom/Facetime/Facebook Messenger- however you’re comfortable, to appraise your home.
  • Virtual Inspections: Contact any of our agents to get access to a link by where you are shown the home through the lens of the Owner.
  • Sell/Lease your home: Sight-unseen has become a bit of an industry buzzword, but what it means is, we can add a clause into contracts that states should the purchaser or Renter see the home after signing and wish to withdraw, they can do so in 24 hours. We have had great success in sight-unseen due to our process of showcasing the home virtually
  • Virtual Auctions: Attend or sell via a Virtual Auction. Our success rate has been demonstrated time and time again, most recently through a 100% clearance rate last weekend.

We understand these virtual processes may not suit everyone, and some of you may want to wait for when we can legally see you in person. We can't wait to see you too, but for now, our uncompromising values remain strong.

From our family to yours, keep in touch and stay in contact.
