Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

We purchased this home 7 years ago as our first home as a couple. Over the years we have completely re-done the backyard to include some much-coveted green space to the home. The north-facing backyard means that the back of the house gets bathed in sunlight most of the day and we love having the windows over-looking the backyard so that we can watch our daughter play.

We have cooked many meals in the expansive kitchen. You will never run out of room and it is fully equipped with everything you need.

The front of the house maintains its period features, like the wood paneling and fireplace, which we painted white to brighten up the space and make it more modern. We love the contrast of the modern artwork and furniture with the period features.

The off-street parking has also been an added bonus. Easily fitting two cars, it is a luxury that you won’t find in many houses on the street.

What we love about this suburb:
Preston has been a great suburb to live in. Since we moved here so many bars and restaurants have opened, some even within walking distance. The house is ideally situated for both train and tram, with trams down the end of the street and the train is an easy 7-minute walk. We also love checking out the local mid-century antique shops in the area. Northland Shopping Centre is a 5–10-minute car ride and the Preston Market is only a quick walk away. The local park is less than a 5-minute walk and you will find lots of friendly families and dogs there.

Why we are selling:

We are selling to be closer to family on the eastern side of Melbourne.
