Nelson Alexander - Foundation Day Saturday 28th May, 2016

Nelson Alexander’s Foundation Day is the day that we do something special: It’s the day that our offices donate the professional fee from one of their auctions to the local community.

Foundation Day is a fundraising initiative of the Nelson Alexander Charitable Foundation, which was established, and continues to be managed by staff – maximising their participation in community service and fund raising events for worthwhile local causes.

Since its inception in 2005, the Nelson Alexander Charitable Foundation has been a resounding success and has distributed $2 million dollars into our local community.

Here are the selected charities and their respective properties:

• Ascot Vale – Supporting TLC For Kids with 26 Milton Street, Ascot Vale.
• Brunswick – Supporting Salvation Army – Asylum Seeker & Refugee Service with 38 Stewart Street, Brunswick.
• Carlton North – Supporting Victoria Police Legacy with 3/94A Elgin Street, Carlton.
• Coburg – Supporting Carinya Society – Kelson Annexe with 9 Beckley Street, Coburg.
• Commercial – Supporting Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency with property leasing fee.
• Docklands – Supporting Orange Sky Laundry with property leasing fee.
• Essendon – Supporting Live for Lily -funds directed to Murdoch Childrens Research Institute with 15 Wright Street, Essendon.
• Fitzroy – Supporting The Royal Children’s Hospital – Gatehouse Centre with 32 Rae Street, Fitzroy North.
• Flemington – Supporting The Helping Hand Project with 61 Willis Street, Kensington.
• Ivanhoe – Supporting Waratah Special Developmental School with 50A Casey Crescent, Viewbank.
• Keilor East – Supporting St Peter’s Primary School with 43 Skewes Street, Avondale Heights.
• Kew – Supporting Biggest Blokes Lunch – funds directed to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia with 43 Kellett Grove, Kew.
• Northcote – Supporting Alphington Community Centre – Men’s Shed with 60A Park Crescent, Fairfield.
• Pascoe Vale – Supporting Yooralla – children’s respite services Glenroy with 41 Melville Road, Pascoe Vale South.
• Preston – Supporting Neami Regent with 16 Birdwood Street, Reservoir.
