Niddrie

With a great blend of families, couples and retirees, Niddrie (13 km north-west of the CBD) is a relatively small suburb with its own sense of style and character ? focusing particularly on thriving Niddrie Shopping Centre with its array of caf?s, restaurants and specialty shops.

Housing styles are predominantly 1950s and ’60s weatherboard or brick veneer, with some contemporary pockets. Because of generally larger block sizes in older areas of Niddrie, many original homes are making way for multi-unit developments and new family homes. Tram and bus services proliferate and there’s easy access to Calder and Tullamarine freeways.
