Wondering what to do in Melbourne this June?

As winter slowly but surely rolls in, you may be on the hunt for some fun (and warm) activities to fill your calendar with this June. The beauty about living in a city as vibrant, creative and culturally exuberant as Melbourne is that there is always something interesting to see and do.

Whether you love the drama of theatre, provoking your senses at an art exhibition or indulging in unique food experiences (and let's face it, who doesn't?), there is something for everyone this June in Melbourne.

French Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston at the NGV - Melbourne (4 June - 3 October)

From June 4th, household names of the French Impressionist movement such as Monet, Renoir, Cassat and more will be making an appearance (don't worry, not literally) at the National Gallery of Victoria.

The French Impressionist movement that came about in the late nineteenth century revolutionised modern art. Transitioning from the studio to the outdoors, artists of the time captured the transience of natural light and depth of nature in their paintings.

Paintings by these artists have continuously taken the breath away from their observers, and even if you aren't really that 'into' art, you're likely to have a wonderful experience at this exhibition.
